CRIMINAL LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018
An Act further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 und the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898

No. F. 24(10)/2018-Legis., dated 22.5.2018.–The following Act of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) received the assent of the President on 18th May, 2018 and is hereby published for general information:
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 (Act XLV of 1860) and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898);
It is hereby enacted as follows:–
1. Short title and commencement.–(1) This is Act may be called the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Act, 2018.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 292-C, Act XLV of 1860.–In the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 (Act XLV of 1860), hereinafter referred to as the Penal Code, in the Section 292-C for the expression, “two years and may extend upto seven years or with fine which shall not be less than two hundred thousand rupees, and may extend upto seven hundred thousand rupees or with both”, the expression, “fourteen years and may extend up to twenty years and with fine which shall not be less than one million rupees”, shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of Section 377-B, Act XLV of 1860.–In the Penal Code, in the Section 377-B, for the expression, “may extend to seven years and liable to fine which shall not be less than five hundred thousand rupees or with both”, the expression “shall not be less than fourteen years and may extend up to twenty years and with fine which shall not be less than one million rupees”, shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of Schedule II, Act V of 1898.–In the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898), in Schedule 11,–
(a) For entry relating to Section 292C, in Column 7, the following shall be substituted, namely:–
“Imprisonment of either description for a term which shall not be less than fourteen years and may extend up
to twenty years and with fine which shall not be less than one million rupees”.
(b) For entry relating to Section 377-B, in Column 7, the following shall be substituted, namely:–
“Imprisonment of either description for a term which shall not be less than fourteen years and may extend up to twenty years and with fine which shall not be less than one million rupees.”
