EMIGRATION ACT, 1976

An Act to repeal the Emigration Ordinance, 1976 and to revive the Emigration Act, 1922
The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 11th May, 1976 and is hereby published for general information.
Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Emigration Ordinance, 1976 (II of 1976), and to revive the Emigration Act, 1922 (VII of 1922).
It is enacted as follows :-
1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Emigration Act, 1976.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Repeal of Ordinance II of 1976 and revival of Act, VII of 1922. The Emigration Ordinance, 1976 (II of 1976), is hereby repealed and shall be deemed never to have come into force and the Emigration Act, 1922 (VIl of 1922), shall stand revived as if it had never been repealed.
