further to amend the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1997
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, I997, (P. O. No. 3 of 1997), for the purposes hereinafter appearing
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President is pleased to make the following Order:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Order may be called the High Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 2007.
(2) It shall come into force with effect from the first day of January, 2008.
2. Amendment of paragraph 15, P.O. No. 3 of 1997. In the said Order, in paragraph 15, in the Explanation,—
(i) after the word “time”, occurring for the second time, the words “and shall include Superior Judicial Allowance” shall be inserted; and
(ii) after the word “any” the word “other” shall be inserted.
3. Amendment of paragraph 23, P. O. No. 3 of 1997. In the said Order, in paragraph 23, for the word “twelve” the word “forty” shall be substituted.
