No. S. 18-L/48XVII. The following Act of the Sind Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor General on the Ist may, 1950, is hereby published for general information. Whereas it is expedient to amend to Muslim personal law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937, in its application to the province of Sind for the purpose hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted as follows;
1. Short title. This Act may be called the Muslim personal law (Shariat) Application (Sind Amendment) Act, 1950.
2. Amendment of section 1 of Act XXVI of 1937. In section 1 of the Muslim personal law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937 (hereinafter called the said Act), after Sub-section (2) the following new sub-section shall be inserted, namely;—-
3. Amendment of section 2 of Act. (XXVI of 1937.) In section 2 of the said Act the words and brackets “(Save questions relating to agricultural land” and “(other than charities and charitable institutions and charitable and religious endowments)” shall be omitted.
