An Act to amend the Punjab Board of Revenue Act, 1957.

No. PAP/Legis-2(131)/2021/35.–The Punjab Board of Revenue (Amendment) Bill, 2021, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on September 12, 2022, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on September 23, 2022, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
It is expedient to amend the Punjab Board of Revenue Act, 1957 (XI of 1957) for the purposes hereinafter appearing.
Be it enacted by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as follows:
1. Short title and commencement.–(1) This Act may be cited as the Punjab Board of Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2022.
(2) This Act shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 8 of Act XI of 1957.–In the Punjab Board of Revenue Act, 1957 (XI of 1957), in section 8, after subsection 2, the following new sub-sections (3) and (4) shall be added:
“(3) As far as practicable, the application for a review shall be filed before the same Member or Full Board, as the case may be, who or which has passed the order or judgment or decree sought to be reviewed.
(4) After the final disposal of the first application for review, no subsequent application for review shall be entertained
