PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SERVANTS HOUSING FOUNDATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018
An Act further to amend the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation Act, 2004.

No. PAP/Legis-2(192)/2018/1768.–The Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (Amendment) Bill, 2018, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on May 16, 2018, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on May 21, 2018, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
It is necessary further to amend the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation Act, 2004 (X of 2004) for purposes of making provision for disposal of houses and plots to the in-service Government Servants on their attaining the specified age and for incidental matters.
Be it enacted by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as follows:
1. Short title and commencement.–(1) This Act may be cited as the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (Amendment) Act, 2018.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment in the preamble to Act X of 2004.–In the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation Act, 2004 (X of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the Act, in the preamble, the expression “on their retirement,” shall be omitted.
3. Amendment in Section 16 of Act X of 2004.–In the Act, in Section 16, for the Proviso, the following shall be substituted:
“Provided that in case the number of houses or plots exceeds the above requirement, they may be disposed of, in the prescribed manner, in favour of the serving members who are not less than fifty eight years of age”.
