PUNJAB LAND REVENUE (AMENDMENT)
ACT, 2019

No. PAP/Legis-2(23)/2019/2151.–The Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2019, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on November 18, 2019, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on November 25, 2019, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
It is necessary further to amend the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967 (XVII of 1967) to exclude certain land from operation of the Act ibid.
Be it enacted by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as follows:
1. Short title and commencement.–(1) This Act may be cited as the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2019.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Substitution of Section 3 of Act XVII of 1967.–In the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967 (XVII of 1967), for Section 3, the following shall be substituted:
“3. Exclusion of certain land from operation of this Act.–The provisions of this Act relating to assessment and collection of land revenue shall not be applicable to an area notified by the Board of Revenue.”
3. Repeal.–The Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 (IV of 2019) is hereby repealed.
