PUNJAB SOUND SYSTEMS (REGULATION) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018
An Act to amend the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation)

No. PAP/Legis-2(189)/2018/1759.–The Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2018, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on May 4, 2018, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on May 16, 2018, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
It is necessary to amend the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) Act, 2015 (XVIII of 2015) for the purpose of enhancing the number of existing one external sound system with four such sound systems, one in each direction.
Be it enacted by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as follows:
1. Short title and Commencement.–(1) This Act may be cited as the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2018.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment in Section 4 of Act XVIII of 2015.–In the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) Act, 2015 (XVIII of 2015), in Section 4, in sub-section (2), for clause (a), the following shall be substituted:
“(a) not more than four external sound systems at a place of worship for the purpose of Azan and durood-e-pak either before or after Azan, Arabic Khutba delivered on a Friday or on Eid prayers, announcement of death of a person, lost or found a thing or a person; or”.
3. Repeal.–The Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) (Amendment) Ordinance 2018 (II of 2018) is hereby repealed.
