What happens to the original proposal if a counter-proposal is made?
A. An original proposal is superseded by a counter-proposal made by the other party and would not be revived even if the maker of the proposal rejects the counter-offer. However, if the person making the counter-proposal withdraws it before the other party either accepts or rejects it, the original proposal may still be considered.
