The Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 2001
PRESIDENT'S ORDER NO. 3 OF 2001
further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1997
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1997 (P.O. No. 2 of 1997), for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make the following Order :-
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Order may be called the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) (Amendment) Order, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on and from the 12th February, 1997.
2. Amendment of paragraph 15, P. O. No. 2 or 1997. In the Supreme Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Order, 1997 (P.O. No. 2 of 1997), in paragraph 15,---
(i) in sub-paragraph (a), for the word “and” occurring at the end, the word “or” or shall be substituted.
(ii) in sub-paragraph (b), after the word “resigned” occurring at the end, the words “or sought retirement” shall be added; and
(iii) in sub-paragraph (c), after the word “incapacity” occurring at the end, the words “or been allowed by the President for sufficient cause to retire” shall be added.
