An Act to amend the
West Pakistan Muslim Personal
Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1962.
No. PAWP/Legis-(51)/19.— The West Pakistan Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application (Amendment) Bill, 1964 having been passed by the provincial Assembly of West Pakistan on the 2nd day of April 1964 and assented to by the Governor of West Pakistan on the 4th day of April 1964, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Legislature.
Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the West Pakistan Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1962, in the manner hereinafter appearing:
It is hereby enacted as fellows;
1. Short title, extent and commencement. : —
(1) This Act may be called the West Pakistan Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Amendment Act, 1964.
(2) It extends to the whole of the Province of West Pakistan, except the Tribal Areas.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 7 of Act 1962. — In Section 7 of the West Pakistan Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1962, Sub-Section (2) shall be omitted.
