WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

As women were not allowed to make decisions for themselves, women's empowerment came in like a breath of fresh air. It made them aware of their rights and how they must make their own place in society rather than depending on a man. It recognized the fact that things cannot simply work in someone’s favor because of their gender. However, we still have a long way to go when we talk about the reasons why we need it. Since women were not permitted to make decisions on their behalf, women's empowerment was a welcome change. They became conscious of their rights and the necessity of finding their own position in society without relying on a man as a result. It acknowledged that circumstances cannot simply favor someone based only on their gender. But when it comes to explaining why we need it, we still have a ways to go.• No matter how progressive they may be women have historically been mistreated in almost all nations. To put it another way, women have fought against all odds to get where they are now. Third-world nations like Pakistan still lag behind in terms of women's empowerment while European countries continue to make strides. In Pakistan, it has become more crucial than ever to empower women. Women are not safe in many nations, including Pakistan. There are several reasons for this. In addition, heinous acts of violence against women including rape, acid assaults, the dowry system, extrajudicial killings, sexual abuse, and other types of violence against women remain prevalent all over the nation.• Women should constitute half of the total population. However, because of female foeticide practices, which are still prominent in Pakistani rural and underprivileged societies, the number of girls growing up is rapidly shrinking, resulting in an incidence in the nation's sex ratio. Furthermore, the scenario of freedom and education is tremendously skewed in this case. Women are forced into child marriages and are not allowed to complete their education. Men still rule over women in some societies, as if they were expected to work perpetually for them. They prevent them from leaving their homes or enjoying any kind of individual mobility.• Thus, it is clear that the need for women's empowerment is paramount. These women must be provided with the resources essential to advocate for themselves and prevent ever falling victim to injustice. There are many diverse approaches to empowering women. To make it happen, the citizens and the government must work together. It's indeed imperative that education for females is mandatory so that they can acquire the necessary literacy skills to support themselves. Regardless of their gender, women must be guaranteed equal chances throughout all fields. Likewise, they must deserve equal remuneration. By outlawing child marriage, we can empower women. Various programs should be held to teach them the skills to take care of themselves in the event of a financial crisis. Above all, the shame of divorce and abuse needs to be thrown out the window. Many women stay in abusive relationships out of fear of society. Parents need to teach their daughters that it's okay to get divorced, go into a coffin, and never come back.
