i.        To prevent and combat human trafficking in it all forms.

ii.        To provide comprehensive protection and support of victims of trafficking.  

iii.        To promote international cooperation in tackling trafficking in persons.

iv.        To ensure the effective investigation, prosecution, and punishment of traffickers.
